Mechanical Design Engineer - Onsite

Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in the solar industry. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mechanical design, 3D modeling, and drafting using AutoCAD, CATIA, and SolidWorks, and experience working on solar mounting structures and related mechanical systems

• • Design and develop mechanical components and structures for solar PV projects (rooftop and ground-mounted systems).
• • Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, CATIA, and SolidWorks.
• • Design solar mounting structures, frames, brackets, and supports as per project requirements.
• • Perform basic structural and mechanical calculations to ensure safety and compliance with standards.
• • Coordinate with electrical, civil, and project teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
• • Review drawings, BOMs, and technical documents for accuracy and feasibility.
• • Support prototype development, fabrication, and installation activities.
• • Ensure designs comply with industry standards, client specifications, and quality requirements.
• • Assist in design optimization to reduce cost and improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Required Skills & Qualifications
• • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• • 3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, preferably in the solar industry.
• • Proficiency in AutoCAD, CATIA, and SolidWorks (3D modeling & detailing).
• • Experience in solar mounting structures (RMS / MMS) is highly preferred.
• • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
• • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
